Gypsy

Jason "Gypsy" Kladiva has been interpreting American Civil War era history since 1991 via vintage base ball, Civil War reenactments, as a period ambrotypist (photographer), an author, actor and, now, a radio host. As a historical interpreter, Gypsy has presented his live programs to over 2 million live audience participants at hundreds of schools, libraries, museums and historic parks.

As a vintage ball player, Gypsy is a co-captain with the Iron Diamonds BBC of Porter County, Indiana. He has also suited up as a member of the Mackinac Never-Sweats, the Chicago Salmon and the Deep River Grinders of Hobart, Indiana. In 2007, Gypsy was voted the Square Deal Best Umpire of the Huzzah Hoosier Pennant Vintage Base Ball Tournament in Winona Lake, Indiana.

In addition to "Vintage Base Ball This Week", Gypsy will also host "Yesterday's News" on WVLP 98.3 FM in Valparaiso, Indiana each week beginning March 1, 2008.
