How To Update Recent Matches

You don't have to worry about copying and pasting and formatting and all that. All that is required is to use a form to upload a file and the web server will do the rest. Here are the details given step-by-step to do it.

- The file format the server is expecting is "Text CSV" or comma seperated values. The reason is that Excel is a closed format. Fortunately, Excel can save into this format. When you want to make an uploadable version of your XLS file, simply do a File..Save As and select CSV for the file type.

- Navigate the web site until you get to the "Recent Matches" page. You don't have to click into the specific page you will be updating.

- Click the "Attach" link in the upper right corner.

- You will be asked for a password.

- You will given a page that, when you scroll down, you will see "Existing Uploads." Click on the arrow to the right of the name of file that you will be updating. Don't click on the name as that will just show the contents of the file.

- You will see a similar version of the page you were just at, but this time the Name Attachment As field will be filled in. Click the "Browse" button and select the file from your computer's file system.

- Finally, click the "Upload" button. When the file has completed uploading, the old version will be replaced with the new version. You can then navigate to the page on the site and the recent matches should be the same as your spreadsheet.
