Tippecanoe Canal Jumpers

The Tippecanoe Canal Jumpers Base Ball Club played its inaugural match in 2009 versus the Clodbuster Base Ball Club of Dayton. Founded by Reed “Worm Burner” Spencer and Greg “Buster” Enslen, the Canal Jumpers are a project of the Downtown Tipp City Partnership (DTCP), Inc. The DTCP is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with membership in Nation Trust for Historic Preservation© and Heritage Ohio. The DTCP mission is to preserve, promote and enhance downtown Tipp City, Ohio.

Embracing their Ohio canal town roots, the Canal Jumpers play base ball using the 1860’s Beadle’s DIME Rules. In 2010, the Canal Jumpers will play a schedule of 10 matches with clubs throughout Ohio and Indiana. Home matches are played on the front lawn at the Willowtree Inn in Tipp City.
