Ohio Village Muffins And Diamonds

Location
Columbus, OH
Primary Rules Used
1860

The Ohio Village Muffins were the first club to play vintage base ball on a regular basis. 2008 marks our 28th year of play. The club name refers to the practice among top 1860s clubs of fielding a 'first nine', a 'second nine' and a 'muffin nine', the latter composed of the club's weakest players. The club now has over fifty volunteers including members of the Lady Diamonds Base Ball Club. The Muffins have over fifty games scheduled each year, and host the Ohio Cup, one of the largest gatherings of vintage clubs in the country.
