Since 1981, the gentlemen of the Ohio Village Muffin base ball club have been dedicated to the preservation of the game's history and to the growth of vintage base ball throughout the country. Each year - from April to November - the club travels throughout Ohio and beyond participating in festivals and events interpreting the way base ball was played in 1860 America. To date, the Muffins have traveled to more than 24 states and Canada, entertaining and educating thousands along the way. The demonstration of 19th century base ball and its related history are of primary importance. Historical authenticity is also important in order to accurately portray the game as it was played in the 1860 era. The competitive nature of the game is secondary. We invite you to attend a Muffin base ball match at Ohio Village - 1982 Velma Avenue, Columbus, Ohio - and experience a time when base ball truly was played - - " For the Glory of the Game" An American original -- The Ohio Village Muffins -- 2009 marks our 29th year of play.
