The current Mutuals were established in August 1999 as a traveling team made up of experienced base ballists. All players have been playing vintage base ball for several years. We travel to all parts of the country demonstrating the roots of our national pastime. We recreate the 1870 National Champion Club, but are ever willing to play by any year. When not travelling, the program has a schedule that includes eight clubs that play on two fields. Hewlett Grounds is the main field and uses 1845– 1900 rules. Schenck Field uses 1845-1876 rules.
