Somerset Frosty Son's of Thunder Base Ball Club. The Frosty Son's of Thunder Base Ball Club is comprised of a group from the beautiful Laurel Highlands of western Pennsylvania. Our desire is to enjoy the game of base ball in a gentlemanly atmosphere for the love of the game. Why "Frosty Son's of Thunder"? As noted by Rep. Alexander Ogle in one of his speeches he designated his constituency as being "The Frosty Sons of Thunder" -- an appellation that was proudly adopted by the residents of Somerset County during the early 1800's'. Our goal as the Frosty Son's of Thunder Vintage Base Ball Club is to carry on the history of our county all while gratefully respecting the game of base ball the way it was supposed to be played. Our team plays by the rules define today as the 1860's rules of base ball in coordination of the Vintage Base Ball Association. (VBBA). ContactRob Harrity |
