Entering their Sixth Season, The Douglas Dutchers Base Ball Club is excited about this coming year. They want to thank All Ballists for adding to the success of the 2007 VBBA Conference, and hope your stay in the Douglas/Saugatuck area was a respite from your daily grind. This Club was formed in 2003 and has grown in the last 5 years. Our players wear a uniform that is fashioned after the 1905 Douglas Athletic League, but they play according to the 1860’s Henry Chadwick Rules of Play. The Club is made up of Ballists who hail from Saugatuck, Douglas, South Haven, Hamilton, Holland, Grand Rapids and Zeeland, MI Other Ballists travel from Palatine, IL, Decatur and Portage IN to play for the Dutchers.
