The Chapion City Reapers were established in 2003 to provide historic re-enactments of 1860's base ball games in Springfield, Ohio. The team name represents the heritage of the community as Springfield was known as the "Champion City" and one of the first major industries was farm machinery and the famous Champion Company's Reaper.
